Summer STEM Programs Set Kids up for Learning Success

Why is the sky blue? Why is the ocean salty? Where do dreams come from? The number of questions kids ask when they are young tells us that they are naturally scientific. These little scientists are inquisitive and curious, always wanting to know how things work and why they work the way they do. As a parent, you want to encourage your child’s curiosity and zest for learning. By exposing your child to fun and engaging STEM learning opportunities early on, you’ll tap into these innate scientific tendencies.

LEtGO Your Mind Makes STEM Learning Fun

At LEtGO Your Mind, our team of teachers and engineers offers fun and enriching summer programs focusing on vital STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) subjects. Using LEGO in the areas of simple machines and robotics, and stop animation, kids are challenged to think creatively, problem solve, and work as part of a team.

Setting Your Child up for Learning Success

Kids often say they hate math or science, particularly as more challenging subject matter is introduced in school. “As teachers, we know that if kids enjoy STEM learning opportunities at an early age, they develop a positive outlook about learning more complex concepts as they get older,” explains Jim Harvey, owner of LEtGO Your Mind.

Building STEM Super Heroes

This summer, LEtGO Your Mind is offering superhero-themed STEM programming for kids ages 4-13 in locations throughout New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts. In each of these programs, students will:

• Connect math and science knowledge with real-world STEM applications.

• Develop confidence in their design abilities and idea generation.

• Build independent thinking skills they can apply in the classroom setting.
